Juan started his first painting job at 17 years old and didn’t know what road life would take for him until he discovered that he could paint his own road, which took him to the same company for 18 years. He made it all the way to the title of Quality Control/Field Superintendent/Field Trainer. In this position, Juan oversaw 40 employees, ensured the finished product met the company’s quality and efficiency standards, trained all new field employees, monitored field activities, and was responsible for scheduling and safety. His highest position was Specialty Finisher, which included faux finishes, lime wash, metallics, staining, Venetian plaster, stencils, and graphics. Here he was given the freedom to venture and try new products. This gave him the experience and understanding to paint the way no average painter can.
